I convinced Dane we needed to buy a van this year since we cannot fit another car seat in our little Nissan Sentra. We started looking online and asking friends and family for advice. Dane has been working a lot because the oil refinery has had a lot of unplanned turnarounds (maintenance shutdowns). He was working 12-13 hour days for 14 days straight and then he would get a fatigue day.
So, we have not had a lot of time to test drive any vans. He finally got a Monday off and I tried to get a babysitter so we could go check out some vans. I couldn't find a babysitter so we just took the kids and headed for a Honda Dealership. We didn't intend to buy anything right away - we thought we would be test driving and looking for a while to find the perfect (used) van. Well we found a 2012 Honda Odyssey with low miles that we loved. So we bought the first van we test drove . We got the job done! It is pretty wonderful and I feel pretty spoiled to have a van. We are hoping this van will last us MANY years.

congratulations! i love my odyssey too. it's not as new, but we got it for a amazing price. we most likely will run it into the ground or upgrade when i'm tried of it. it's great for 3 kids. sterling and quincey are now in the back since they are both FF and carlee is in one of the captain chairs.
