Drive to Branson

Dane's family planned a family reunion in Branson, Missouri this year.  It was kind of a midpoint for us and his siblings.  It was a 20 hour drive.  It was funny when we looked up the directions because it took us the same way we went to Nauvoo back in November.  We decided to spread the driving time over a few days and have a little vacation.  I prepped and prepped for our long drive.  I bought prizes and wrapped them, prepared snacks, got movies from the library, and put together tubs of books, toys, and entertainment.  

They loved the prizes. 

We drove 13 hours the first day to Omaha, Nebraska.  We stopped at Wall drug in South Dakota and looked at the fun shops and took lots of fun pictures.  

We spent the next day in Omaha, Nebraska and went to the Zoo.  We went to this same zoo back in November when we drove to Omaha- it was really cold then.  We thought it would be pretty cool to spend the day there in the summer! It was totally crazy.  There was a line to everything and there were soooo many people it was insane.  I honestly think the cold was better because we practically had the zoo to ourselves and the coolest stuff ended up being inside.

It was still a fun day but we were all pretty worn out after. 

Sunday we went to church in Omaha and checked out the Kanesville tabernacle and then we drove to Kansas City.

We also spent time swimming at the hotels we stayed at..

Monday we got groceries and drove to our final destination: Branson, Missouri!
